Examination Pattern

The examination pattern, which is conducted by Suresh Gyan Vihar distance education is a simple method that allows the student as well as the examiner to evaluate the performance of the student properly. It includes Continuous Evaluation for course performance, comprising 30 percent of the total assessment, based on the assignments prepared from the printed course materials without reference to additional readings. These assignments may be in the form of coursework essays, short answers, objectives, problem-solving etc. The Term End Examination weight at 70%, timely submission of assignments and the examination form along with the required fee before due date deadlines. Where applicable, students must abide by attendance, and evaluation criteria consisting of 60 percent on practical sessions and 40 percent from an external examiner on the last day. For the last semester, students undertake project work, for which they begin with a writing proposal under the supervision of a qualified mentor, and the mentor’s bio data has to be included with this proposal as well. This proposal is, subsequently, on review by the Program Coordinator, expected to be approved or given feedback within 30 days.

 

Students submit their bound project reports to the Director School after three months, which is followed by viva-voce examinations held in July or January by a Board of Examiners comprising among others, an external examiner and the project guide as the internal examiner.

The question paper will be divided into three parts in the following format:

  • Part – A: 4 - (Multiple Choice Questions) - 50 x 1 Marks = 50 Marks
  • Part – B: - (Descriptive) - Answer any 2 (out of 3) 2 x 10 Marks = 20 Marks
